This is the upgrade version of Logic Studio (that requires a serial number from a previous version of Logic Pro or Logic Express), so included is a full retail version of Logic Express 8 (including the serial number along with original packaging and disks) which is all that is needed to install Logic Studio. You will have the exact same content and functionality of the full-blown normal version of Logic Studio (which is BETTER than the 'academic' version).
